For months, I have been beyond excited about the arrival of the brand Rixo London in Brown Thomas Galway. After lusting after their beautiful vintage inspired pieces on Instagram, I couldn’t wait to nab a little something for myself!
So when it hit down in store, I swiftly tried on several of the dresses, which are BEYOND beautiful. The fabric (100% silk, tysm) is gorgeous, the cuts are on point and the prints are unreal. But in the end, I couldn’t resist the star print blouse. I love a star print and as I spend 90% of the time in jeans or trousers, investing in a blouse to pair with them seemed like a smart purchase decision!
I’m a big fan of the high street and nabbing a bargain, so it takes something special to make me want to invest in a more expensive piece. I think our high street retailers have become so good and QUICK at representing the trends we see on the catwalks, it’s easy to avoid splurging on the real deal. But after spending months tracking Rixo London’s journey on various social media channels, I knew I hadn’t seen anything like it. Hence, I decided to go for it!
Coat: Penneys/Primark | Jeans: Public Romance | Belt: Verge Girl | Shoes: Vans
I knew despite the statement print, I would be able to style and wear this top so many different ways. Here I have two different looks as a little taste of the multitude of ways it can be worn. I’m quite a fan of clashing prints so I’ve gone down that route with both looks, but I think it would be equally striking worn with all black or monochrome pieces. Dressed up or down, it’s the perfect addition to my wardrobe and in terms of cost per wear, it’s already well worth it!

We’re currently waiting on the new season drop of Rixo London in our Galway store so watch this space… I may be back with another snazzy piece to share with you sooner rather than later!
Until next time,
Sinead
