Last Sunday night I attended Sheer Model Management’s 1st birthday fashion show. It was a brilliant night showcasing some of Galway’s local fashion designers and boutiques, including my super talented friend, Emily, of Emily O’Regan Millinery!
The show was held in the College Bar in NUIG and featured pieces by Sorcha Style’s, Ann Petrov, Glitzi Bitz, OSHA boutique and many more. It was hosted by Lorna Jane Duffy of Fashion Boss who talked the talk whilst the models walked the walk. But the show wasn’t just all fashion and folly; the proceeds from the event were donated in support of Pieta House, who work towards suicide prevention and awareness.
With the Galway Races at the end of this month, I was especially excited to see some of Emily’s new designs as naturally I will be wearing one of her fabulous creations for Ladies Day! After all, we did take out ‘Best Hat’ at the G Hotel last year, so we have a title to defend! I will be sure to have more about our race week prep coming in the next few weeks.
